   A lot of times if there are cuts on arms, legs, ect. If hair is short except for excedingly long bangs, or if you wear all black most of the time (sometimes goth’s also)…in my opinion

   you don’t “change” your style….that would make you a poser, sorry!! if you want to change your look, then just buy what you think looks good on you and you think is cute. and if you are going for emo, you’re gonna want to wear lots of black. but not to the point of goth. good luck.

   Chill out and don’t get defensive before people even answer…might want to look at that anger issue you’ve got…

   Here’s a definition of emo for you:
   “Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.”

   I don’t really no much about how to look emo.

   However, I do want to say one thing (and I’m not trying to be rude): Be Yourself!

   If emo is who you are, then go with it. But if it’s just trying to fit into a group of people, then don’t do it b/c then you are not being yourself. You are being someone else.

   I’m sure that you are great the way you are. Whatever you do, just be yourself.

   If your a guy, feminize your appearance and behavior, act like a girl, and enjoy kissing other guys playing with their dongs. If your a girl, just dress dark, cut hair short, wear geeky glasses, act like your an artist when you couldn’t draw to save the world, and be les/bisexual, possibly preach about feminism and be sexist towards men…your done.

   Oh, and extreme narcism is very necessary.

    just go around acting like your life is extremely hard and troublesome, and if it really is than it really shouldn’t be a problem! it probably doesn’t take much to “turn” emo, just be yourself!
