   emo isnt really a category, however most emo’s are into the screamo genre but then again screamo genre isnt really depressing.
   all the depressing songs i’ve heard are in the black metal genre? like funeral fog by mayhem

   or mother north by satyricon

   this is also is good and has an amazing intro, think it’ll be perfect for your project

    whatever you do, do not use my chemical romance. i just know some idiot will want to use their song. thats a horrible stereotype of that band, they are in no way emo. here is a video with quotes to prove it:
    like gerard way says, “emo is sh*t”
    dont give into that. a school shouldnt be promoting stereotypes, thats horrible. often times emo people are depressed, and do u know y theyre depressed? because they have a better sense of the world than any of us. they know wats real, they are just as smart and down to earth and realistic as anyone else. they may not have the right idea of how to show that, but at least they know wats right and wrong.

    and by the way, “kiss my lips and tell me a goodbye” isnt a song by AFI, i think u mean prelude 12/21 by AFI. and they aren’t emo either, by the way.
