How long will it take to grow emo hair and what is your opinion of it?

Well all hair grows in different amounts of time. But I once read somewhere hair average grows about half a inch- a inch every month

be who ever you want to be, and put no label on it is what i say.
Personally I’m not fond of the style but you have to be yourself. Go for it. As for how long it will take to grow, who knows. I always hate growing my hair out because of the awkward in-between stage.
if your hair grows fast then just wait. it wont be long. you’ll probably have it by the end of the summer. and if you are a good emo then i say go for it. you dont have to cover up what you are so put your defense down. i personally want your #!
Umm…Why does it matter? It is a style, not a length.
i take this really cheap hair, skin, and nail vitamin called Biotin. it works and you can get it at wal-mart. if you take a multi-vitamin w/ it everyday, it’ll work faster. i took it every day for about two weeks, and i noticed about maybe a half and inch, and i’m just guessing. but it really works, and it’s not just like a miracle pill; it takes time. but if you take the vitamin, the biotin, and don’t cut your hair at all, then it should take about a month to a month and a half, less if your hair grows fast.
Why on earth would you want to look a certain way just because of the live you have lived and the music you listen to? What you need is to be YOU, not someone you think people should look at a certain way because of your life experiences. This whole emo sham has gone way out of control. Look, you have to stop listening to psychologists, stop taking personality tests, and for goodness sakes STOP listening to people who try and give you a label, because you have already fallen prey to them. They have you believing that you need to look a certain way based on your personality. That is SO shallow! Give yourself some credit and look deeper into your life, my friend. Break through this common denominator theory that young people like yourself have been tricked into believing nowadays. There is far more to life than going around with a certain hairstyle, wearing certain clothes, listening to a certain kind of music…and doing all of those things just to fit in. All of those things are VERY superficial, and NONE of those things are who you ARE—they are only what you are pretending to be. Look how the definition of individuality has changed in the last 10 years. It used to be something like “someone who chooses their own path and is not swayed by popular culture.” Now, it has been watered down to “I have a different tattoo than my friends, or my hair covers my other eye,” or I wear a black sweater instead of a brown one.
Your life experiences do NOT determine who you are—unless you allow them to. You have made a lifestyle CHOICE, but it isnt who you are. You have become a follower, as evidenced by the fact that you believed the results of an online personality test….you let a WEBSITE tell you what kind of person you are. You let total strangers…people you dont know…determine who are are. Im begging you, for the sake of your future, remove yourself from that lifestyle as it has NO good ending. There are hundreds of suicides committed by people who claim to be ‘emo’, and it turns out that their life experiences, though not all that terribly bad, were amplified by the lifestyle itself, and some of those people brought a lot of those bad experiences on themselves (I am not claiming that you did). Young girls have been raped because they put themselves into a ‘rave’ lifestyle where drugs are everywhere. If they had chosen not be suckered into that lifestyle those things probably would not have happened to them.
You have got to think about your future, and there are so many incredible things that can happen to you. They wont, however, if you choose to remain in a dead-end lifestyle. Please dont think for one minute that it isnt a lifestyle choice. I speak from experience. Get out before it’s too late.

Audioengineer2005 has an excellent point. I can understand how you would want to be emo having the personality and experiences you do, and the fact that emo exploded into the norm overnight and is still a recent trend/fashion, but you are what you are on the inside, not outside. Yeah, it sounds like a corny, live-in-a-perfect-world lie from grandma and grandpa, but it’s the truth, no matter how much anyone denies it. You shouldn’t be concerned much of your appearance. especially not in terms of what contorted society label you’ll be. Focusing too much on that can make you forget about more important things, like family. Do you have a grandmother? Take a minute to think about her. How much time does she have left? Is she happy? Maybe a visit from her grandson would make her day. And what about the job force? What would an employer think of you if you had your emo haircut during a formal interview? Employers have discarded applications after seeing applicants with one too many piercings, maybe a tattoo, anything unnatural and obvious that would upset your grandparents if they saw it. So, a clean appearance is best for all situations. That’s my opinion of the hair, as you asked.
As far as how long it would take, it really all depends. If your hair grows fast, maybe in a month you’ll be able to start getting your bangs over your eye. Most likely it will take several months to get it to the supreme emo length where it covers your whole face. Actually, some people who try to grow their hair to longer lengths (girls try it out all the time) wait over a year before it gets to the desired length. So, don’t expect to hide your face behind your hair in a month. You might not even get the Peter Parker look in a month. It really all depends, and I can’t take a logical guess. You know your hair. Just go by that, but know it’s not something a few days, or even months sometimes, can create. I suggest waiting until your bangs grow close to your eye level, and the sides of your hair consume your ears and grow down past them, then go to the barbor and have them get rid of the unkempt hair on your neck and stuff that will have formed, and cut and style it as needed for the emo look.
But remember your appearance means nothing.
