   Yeah that is the thing I hate about them too, they think they are so original and unique because of the way they look although they have invaded every street on this planet.

   I think this all need to calm down. Too much makeup and big hair and stupid dress sense.

   I hate emo/goth kids!!!
   I hate going into Hot Topic more than getting shot in the face.
   [never got shot in the face, just saying it would be A LOT more pleasant]
   But that’s where I go to get all my wicked awesome Beatles shirts lol.
   Emo music sucks and it makes me want to commit homicide!
   All emo kids do is draw attention to themselves.
   And they wonder why people stare and make fun of them?
   Then they go slit their little pale emo wrists and talk about suicide.

   OH what a fun way to ruin a life!

   Yeah half of the girls aren’t even depressed, but then they try to act like it and cut themselves and crap when they have no reason to other than to think they are fitting in. I know! Well I am prep by default I guess but they always think they are so much better and you try to be nice to them but they think they are way too good so they just return your niceness by being mean. Stereotypes suck.
   Its just people’s way of trying to box other people in.

   Well, you probably have a misconception of what goth is. I can’t speak for emo, as I really don’t care about that, but the goths you see probably aren’t really goths, but just trying to look scary for attention.
   Real goths aren’t typically depressed or even necessarily cynical, but they participate in the subculture because of music and attraction to the aesthetic. High school “goths” typically aren’t really goths anyway, but what real goths would call mallgoths, who happen to shop at Hot Topic and listen to metal, both of which are not goth at all.
   I’m no longer in high school, haven’t been for three years, but I’m a goth girl and not doing it to try to “make a statement” or to try to be “so original” (because goths certainly aren’t original, I’ll admit that), but simply because I like the subculture.
